Polish Pottery Wholesale Distribution

    How the plan works

    Pottery is stored in our warehouse in Massachusetts.

    You take orders from your customers.

    You take payment from your customers.

    You place the order for the product with the warehouse and make payment for the product.

    The product shipped directly to your customer.

    Product pricing and profits

    The product in the warehouse is priced at wholesale meaning that it is the suggested price to be quoted to retailers. It is the minimum price.

    You may sell this product to your wholesale buyer at this price or you may sell it at any higher price if you so wish.

    The wholesale price is calculated based on the cost of importing the product and storing it in the warehouse. The profit margin on any piece of pottery that is stored in the warehouse generally will be from 10% to 30% of the wholesale price.

    That means if the wholesale price of a product is $10, the profit margin will be anywhere between $1 and $3.

    Your profit is one half of that profit margin.

    If you sell it at a higher price than the warehouse wholesale, the extra profit margin is yours.

    Regardless of the price at which you sell the pottery to a retailer, you get one half of the markup that is calculated into the wholesale price. That means on the example above you would get anywhere between 50¢ and $1.50 on the product that would sell for $10.

    How to become a wholesale pottery distributor.

    The most successful distributors are those who have an inventory and a location to which retailers can come visit them, look at product, and place orders. As such, in order to become a wholesale pottery distributor you must have a minimum inventory and some location where people can come and visit you and look at the samples.

    Alternatively, you may wish to take samples to customers by visiting shops in your region. In that case it is not necessary that you have an office or facility where people can come to you but rather you can go to them using a car or van.

    The minimum inventory that you must order to become a distributor is $2000. The $2000 is wholesale price value of the product. You will be given a discount that is equal to one half the markup on these products.
