Polish wooden boxes are very popular around the world. These wooden boxes have a reputation for high quality and the manufacturers and artists that make wooden boxes in Poland have an excellent reputation for reliability.

There are generally two types of wooden box manufacturers in Poland.

These same artists that make the wooden boxes also make decorative wooden plates. These decorative wooden plates are seen, for the most part, in the Old Town in Krakow, where they sell very well. For some reason, you do not see them displayed that much in the other cities in Poland. It is not like there is no market for them, because when people go from the other cities to Krakow, they buy the decorative wooden plates and talk about how they found them in Krakow. It seems that because many of the wood carvers are located near Krakow they have been able to develop a market in Krakow, while they have neither had the time nor money to develop the market in other cities.

Hand made decorative wooden boxes are high quality. Since many of the sales of these wooden boxes is to tourists and buyers who find the suppliers through the shops in Poland that sell the boxes, they have to withstand tough, first hand inspection for quality.

First they are well designed and well carved. The carving is crisp and definitive. The patterns have withstood the test of time in the market. The wood is fitted well. And the finish is well done.

Second the metal hasps and clasps are high quality and well fitted. Where locks are part of the wooden box, they are well fitted and of high quality.
